Samuel Wayne West has served in roles ranging from senior associate pastor; account manager for technology and educational sales; nursery, preschool and academy director; educational consultant; classroom teacher; middle and high school assistant principal, and elementary school principal. West was a 2010–2011 district finalist for Teacher of the Year, named Principal of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year and was a district finalist for Principal of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year. 

West earned his bachelor’s degree from Fort Valley State University, his master’s degree in Educational Management from Strayer University, his Educational Specialist degree from Liberty University and his leadership certification from Georgia State University. His daily confessions over his staff and students affirmed his belief that if you model what success looks like to students and get them to change their mindset of what is possible to achieve, they will soon realize “they can win with what they have.”

As the founder of Qwest Consulting, LLC, West believes that the ability to envision and articulate clearly what you see on the inside of you has always been a critical component of successful leadership. An ordained minister and motivational speaker, West shares practical tips and strategies through his “What Sam Said” YouTube channel that will propel your vision forward. His style of ministry “edutainment” has been welcomed in churches, non-profits, and organizations alike. His first book, “A Promise Kept” is now available worldwide.
